Recently MBA Seattle Auctions held an online sale of Northwest Modern and Contemporary Art. There were many fine examples of contemporary craft, including a very tempting little Howard Kottler stoneware vase titled Peacemaker/The Lady Killer, c. 1960s. I followed along to get a sense of the local auction market and how it might impact upcoming appraisals of Seattle and other Northwest artists.
